Our Aboriginal elder guide, "Alice". She would not give us her real name as the Anangu are very private. I did note, however, she was wearing a Columbia Titanium jacket! The Anangu have lived in this area for approximately 30,000 years and carefully guard their history and techniques for survival. She demonstrated a few survival techniques for us such as how to make wax from a certain bush, how to make a belt out of hair, and how to chew a kangaroo tendon until it turns into string. Ugh.
